Fitted diapers come in a variety of styles and fabrics. They usually have elastic at the legs and waist, which allows for an adjustable fit and also keeps messes where they belong. (I rarely ever have to wash poo off clothes when baby is diapered in a fitted diaper.) Fitted diapers are made from very absorbent fabrics and DO require cover. They usually fasten around baby with either snaps or Aplix/Velcro.
